Research into camera angles

Directors use several different types of camera angles to achieve several different things, one thing directors use different angles for is that they can make something feel less significant yet more importantly draw your attention to something in particular.

Aerial-

Filmed high in the air, establish a location. Usually exotic or a bad area.

Close up-

Making the point of focus whatever the close up is. Making the viewer recognise emotion creating an atmosphere.

Over the shoulder-

Usually to address more thoroughly a conversation between 2 characters which focuses the viewers attention on what they're saying.

High angle-

Looking down on the subject makes the viewer feel the subject is inferior to something given a low angle.

Low angle-

Low angle shots give power to the subject and makes the subject the centre of importance.
